Press & conferences

Everything a writer or a program chair needs, on one page.

Boilerplate you can paste, a fact sheet you can check, the angles that are actually new, the marks in the right formats, and the name rules that keep us out of a correction. Nothing here needs to be requested.

01 · Boilerplate

Three lengths. All three are approved as written.

One line

Royal Mortgage is a licensed mortgage lender that originates through an AI intake it built itself, with a human underwriter signing every decision.

Short

Royal Mortgage LLC (NMLS #2059962) is a licensed mortgage lender headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, currently licensed in Florida and adding states. Rather than adding AI to a conventional process, it builds its own origination software: a proprietary guided interview that produces a structured loan file, and pricing shopped across a neutral multi-lender panel. A Royal Mortgage underwriter reviews and signs every decision before it is issued.

Long

Royal Mortgage LLC (NMLS #2059962) is a licensed mortgage lender headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. It is currently licensed in Florida and is adding states; the authoritative, current list is always the one at nmlsconsumeraccess.org. Founded by Bryan Royal, the company builds its own origination software rather than buying it. Its intake is a guided interview that fills in the details a borrower should not have to look up and produces a structured record of the conversation. Pricing is shopped across a neutral multi-lender panel and presented to the borrower as options side by side. Every decision is reviewed and signed by a human underwriter before it is issued.

Please do not paraphrase the underwriter sentence out of the short and long versions. It is the load-bearing part.

02 · Fact sheet

Checkable facts only.

If a number is not on this page, we have not published it, and you should not take it from anywhere else claiming to speak for us.

Stated goalPre-approval in minutes. Full approval inside an hour when documentation arrives promptly. Stated as a goal, because it depends on the borrower.
Contract to closeBecause the underwritten answer is already done, the closing date stops being the lender's and becomes the seller's. Closing can happen in as little as seven days from a signed contract. Measured from the signed contract, not from application. Fastest result, not typical. Conventional purchases only. Not a commitment to lend. Not all applicants will qualify.

Seven days is measured from the signed purchase contract, not from the day you apply. It is the fastest we have done and it is not the typical result. Your actual closing date is set by your purchase contract and the seller's schedule, along with the title work and the appraisal. Available on conventional purchase loans. Not available on refinances or in every state. Subject to underwriting review. Not all applicants will qualify. A hard credit inquiry occurs later, before closing. Approval can be withdrawn if your financial condition or credit changes, or if information in your application turns out to be inaccurate or incomplete. This is not a commitment to lend.

03 · Story angles

Five things here that are genuinely new.

Written as the argument rather than the pitch, so you can disagree with it in print.

The lender that writes its own software

The direction of travel is backwards from everyone else

The dominant pattern is a software company selling tools to lenders, or a lender buying an AI layer and bolting it on. A licensed lender writing its own intake and keeping the record it produces is a structurally different animal, and the difference shows up in what it is able to learn.

Ask us what the record contains that a form does not

The blind offer

People make offers on houses without knowing if they can buy them

It happens constantly, it is treated as normal, and it distorts the market at the level of individual transactions. The whole platform is arranged around moving the answer to before the offer instead of after it.

Ask us for the transcript where the borrower says exactly that

The question everybody actually asks

Nobody can explain the fee sheet, so nobody does

A closing cost sheet is a receipt for a dozen companies printed as though it came from one, and the strangest-looking numbers on it are usually the borrower's own prepaid bills rather than fees at all. Dodd-Frank made lenders hand over the numbers early on a standard form; it did not make anybody explain them. Doing that, in plain language, at the moment somebody is staring at the sheet, is a small change with a very direct effect on how the process feels.

Ask us why it is asked second rather than last

The line that was not crossed

A company this aggressive about AI refusing to automate the decision

Every decision is signed by a person, and that is a deliberate commercial cost. The interesting story is not that a lender uses AI. It is where a lender that uses this much AI decided to stop.

Ask us what it costs to hold that line

The order

Easiest first on an application, hardest first on conditions

One inversion, applied consistently, with a real effect on completion. It is the kind of detail that only comes from somebody who has watched thousands of people give up two thirds of the way down a list.

04 · Speaking

What Bryan Royal talks about.

Founder, licensed originator, and the person who wrote the question order. Available for panels, keynotes and program sessions.

A market looking for a model

Mortgage is the largest consumer credit market in the country and its intake has not materially changed in a generation. The talk argues that the industry has been waiting for a model of how this should work, not for more software.

Where you stop the automation

The practical version of the AI governance conversation, from somebody who had to actually draw the line and then live with it commercially. Suited to compliance and risk audiences.

Nobody explains the fee sheet

Why a closing cost sheet reads like a receipt for a dozen companies, what Dodd-Frank actually changed and what it did not, and what happens to a borrower's trust when somebody finally walks them through it line by line. Suited to consumer and operations audiences.

Owning the license and the software

What becomes possible when the lender and the platform are the same company, and the honest account of what becomes harder. Suited to founders and investors.

07 · Name rules

The nine things that turn into a correction.

Write it this way

  • Royal Mortgage for the company. Royal Mortgage LLC in a legal or financial sentence.
  • RoyalMortgage.ai for this platform surface.
  • ROYAL Ai, all capitals, for the assistant.
  • RoyalBuilder.ai for the builder surface.
  • royalmtg.com for the lender's web address, always.
  • Royal Mortgage LLC, NMLS #2059962 for the licence number in any caption. The founder's personal NMLS number is not used in site chrome or marketing copy.
  • Trademark superscript is TM, and it sits next to the castle R and nowhere else. The castle R is the trademarked element. It never follows a word, so there is no TM after MORTGAGE and none after Ai.

Never write it this way

  • Not the company's retired dot-com address. The web address is royalmtg.com, in every sentence, in every caption.
  • Not "Builder Agent". That name is retired. It is RoyalBuilder.ai.
  • Not the registered symbol. Nothing in this house is registered, and using it would be a false claim rather than a typo.
  • Not sentence case for the assistant, and not as a dog. ROYAL Ai is set in capitals, he is named so that he can be spoken to, and he has never been a dog.
  • Not any claim of a country-wide or fifty-state lending footprint. Royal Mortgage is licensed in Florida today and is adding states. Please check nmlsconsumeraccess.org rather than repeating a footprint out of an older release, because that list moves and the release does not.
  • Not any spelling of MORTGAGE that loses its T. It happens more often than you would think, and it is the one that makes a headline look careless.
  • Not any claim that the AI approves loans. A human underwriter signs every decision, and getting this one wrong is the correction that would actually matter.
